Founded in 1971 in colonial New Hebrides, Vanuatu Bijouterie began its journey under French jeweller Mr. Francois Hainaut. In 1980, post-independence, it became Vanuatu’s first registered business, marking a pivotal moment in the Maison’s history.
In 2014, Tal & Estelle Milfirer took the reins, making it the only jewellery company in the South Pacific run by locally trained Melanesian artisans, led by Estelle, a Ni-Vanuatu French national of Vietnamese and Melanesian descent.
Beyond a brand, Vanuatu Bijouterie celebrates Melanesian artistry, crafting pieces using locally sourced materials like Precious Metals, Tahitian Pearls, Diamonds, and Gemstones. Each piece embodies the fusion of tradition and fine jewellery craftsmanship.

Jeweler in New-Caledonia since the 70’s under Bijouterie Calédonienne with F.Hainaut who also opened Bijouterie Hainaut ( Vanuatu Bijouterie in 1981 ). He arrived with an ID card in 1981 as New Hebrides was still French.

Kada Bangalulu
1993 Master jeweler and lapidary expert. Kada started as a young apprentice at 15 years old. He is now our top lapidary master. He chooses the raw gemstones that the factory buys from outer islands to cut into jewelry.

Willie Masauvakalau
Started in 1982, Willie has 42 years in jewellery making. He also started as a young apprentice at 15 years. With a specialty in watch repair and fix.
