Seashell pendant in sterling silver. Seashell used in the colonial times as money exchange mainly in the island of Torres, Vanuatu. Also used in Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea as token of money exchange. Valuable and furnished by Melanesian Islanders to use as asset to and fro their economic living life.
Also used in custom rituals in the Islands of Vanuatu especially Tanna in the “Nekowiar” or “Toka” ceremonies.
